Each year our Society hold a competition for the 'Les Edwards Trophy for Craftmanship'.  The main purpose of the competition is to remember the workmanship that our late member showed in his lifetime and the help he was always willing to give for those of us still learning.  Entries need not be completed models, rather they should be examples of good general engineering skills, and can be in a 'used' condition.

The WINNER this year was Bob Daniels with his model of a 1 1/2 inch Allchin Traction Engine.  Second prize was won by Brian Wilson with the outside cylinders for  his Bullied 'rebuilt 'Merchant Navy', and third prize was awarded to Paul Reynolds for his hot air 'Stockport' stationary engine..
