This is what an editorial in ComputerActive magazine Issue 155, to 4 February, 2004, had to say about setting up your own website. . . .  Quote " While gaining access to the internet is becoming easier, for many people, there is still something very intimidating about creating a personal website.  It is hardly surprising, therefore, that many people simply don't bother. The huge range of languages and technologies to consider is often enough to fluster would-be web designers long before a domain name is even registered " Unquote.

Based on the results of a recent customer survey by the hosting company 1&1, its clear that websites are an increasingly popular way to stay in contact with distant family and friends at Christmas.  In fact, over 66% of their customers responded to their survey and stated that Photos, webcams, forums, web and POP3 mail linked to their website allowed them to maintain a close contact with distant loved ones over the 2002 festive break.

The Computer Active magazine, issue 149, distributed 28 October, 2003 has as its main editorial " Speak Out . . . Why you need a web page and what to use it for."    Now you might think that we here at myfamilywebsite have been trying to sell you a web site. . . and that we might , just, possibly, have over-egged, the advantages and the benefits you will get from your own website. . . . . .well . . . .buy a copy of Computer Active issue 149 and read an un-biased article telling you  why you should have your own website. . .  !
